Ultraviolet Safety·
Ultraviolet curing and drying spectrums vary.  Coatings, inks, and adhesives formulations require a range of UV intensity levels and wavelengths to cure. provided by UV lights

Long-wave ultraviolet radiation (320-420 nanometers) is considered most practical.
Shielding and/or personal protection are
imperative. UV lights emit harmful UV radiation that can cause serious burns to skin and eyes.
While thermal burns are felt immediately, UV burns are not felt for some time. Short exposure to UV radiation can cause severe burning to skin and eyes, and even a minor ultraviolet eye burn can cause irreparable damage to the cornea.

A UV burn is similar to “welder's burn”, commonly referred to as “arc eye”, and feels like sand in the eyes that cannot be washed out. Ice packs and medical attention can relieve the pain, but the pain is felt only after the fact. Use extreme caution. UV radiation can cause permanent blindness.
Skin exposure to UV for a very short time will cause erythema (reddening) on normal skin. Such erythema is transitory and will not produce blistering or tanning.  Avoid any UV exposure.

A simple comparison:  You would not put your hand in front of a moving saw!  Don’t expose your body to UV lighting!  Like any dangerous tool it can be completely safe if you follow the simple rules:

NEVER expose yourself to UV light without complete protection.

A Risky Move:  Some companies suggest or imply UV A is safe UV. WE DO NOT AGREE.

The American Cancer Society says, “All UV is dangerous.”  Do you know UV damages DNA?

ACS recommends that you do not use sun lamps.  Generally, these are considerably less powerful than our equipment.
